You know greens are good for you don’t you?
You know you feel better when you have more of them in your diet.
And… it’s no wonder, because they increase our energy, assist our body’s insulin sensitivity, increase our oxygen to our cells and give us energy AND assist fat loss.

Sometimes it can be really hard to get more in.

There are so many ways to get more greens in, it’s one of the things I love most about teaching nutrition, is the delicious ways to increase your nutrients.

Try this bean salad which is a favourite of mine at the moment:

Ingredients:
  • 500g green beans
  • 2 tbls pine nuts
  • 1 tbls coconut oil
  • 1 crushes garlic clove
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder (depending on how spicy you like them)
  • Rock salt to taste.
Method:

1. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add garlic and chilli and stir/shake pan.

2. Cut ends of beans and add them, toss every minute for 4 minuets.

3. Add pine nuts, toss after 30secs. Leave for another 30 secs. Add salt then serve.

Hint:  Try as a side with your favourite protein source, or as a compliment to your favourite salad.
You can leave out the chilli and try all different flavours to mix it up a little.
